Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, the Director of Da Nang University (UD), on Tuesday, worked with the Ulysseus European University Alliance, to implement comprehensive, effective and long-term cooperation between the two sides. At the meeting, the two sides approved the content and signed agreements at the high-level meeting, thereby affirming the policy of comprehensive, effective and long-term cooperation.

At the same time, the two sides agreed to establish a “Hub” located at the Da Nang International Institute of Technology (DNIIT), a member of the University of Da Nang, to connect with the Ulysseus European University Alliance to promote the potential and advantages of both sides, opening a period of new development cooperation for common benefits in the context of Asia-Europe university integration.

On the same day, the Ulysseus European University Alliance had seminars with member universities of the UD. At the Da Nang University of Education and Technology, delegates discussed two topics: Smart Education and Green Cities.

Experts and lecturers from the University of Education and Technology mentioned a number of topics related to artificial intelligence (AI): From EMVITET, a project to develop teacher capacity towards education 4.0 to AI: Innovating learning methods at university level, researching and developing a smart urban traffic management support system using digital twin technology.

On Wednesday, the Ulysseus European University Alliance and the UD continued to deploy the Ulysseus - Da Nang forum with the theme of cooperation in training - research - creating "smart" cities (UDERIF-2023). Here, leaders, managers, experts, scientists and research groups exchanged and introduce potential needs and strengths to orient cooperation and implement international cooperation projects and schemes, meeting common needs and interests in the fields of education and research, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Earlier in June 2023, the delegation of the UD visited and worked at Côte d'Azur University in France, member of the Uysseus Alliance, signed a memorandum of understanding between UD and Côte d'Azur University. Thereby, UD agreed on the policy to prepare a roadmap to join the Uysseus Alliance.
