The first-ever Quang Noodle Festival themed 'The Quintessence of Quang Noodles - Phu Chiem' has recently taken place at Thanh Chiem 2 Village, Dien Phuong Commune, Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam Province.

During the festival, 20 households in Quang Noodle Village competed in the final round of an on-site noodle cooking competition.

Besides the cooking contest, there were an art photo contest about Quang noodles, a hexagonal poem competition about Quang noodles, the launching ceremony of the book entitled ‘My Quang: learning about culinary history and values’; an exchange programme about Quang and Japanese noodles, the display of OCOP products, folk games, and a whole lot more.

The festival contributed to preserving traditional values, and honouring Quang noodles making and cooking households in the Phu Chiem Noodle Village, as well as building a cultural tourism destination in Quang Nam Province and promoting the connection between Hoi An and My Son cultural heritages.

In each thatched cottage, contestants cooking Quang noodles for displays and inviting visitors to enjoy.
