After 25 years of establishment and development on the basis of separating 3 communes Hoa Minh, Hoa Khanh and Hoa Hiep from the former Hoa Vang District, Lien Chieu District has recorded many great achievements, in which the infrastructure and urban appearance has graduallychanged towards modernity, becoming a large urban area to northwest of the city.

Here is a corner of Lien Chieu District in the area of Hoa Hiep Bac and Hoa Hiep Nam wards today. This place features a beautiful position, harmony between mountains, rivers and sea, possessing many advantages for socio-economic development. In particular, the area at the foot of the Hai Van Pass in Hoa Hiep Bac Ward is the place where large-scale Lien Chieu Port and the project of Lang Van resort and entertainment complex will take the shape.

Nguyen Tat Thanh coastal route is 15km long, passing through Hai Chau, Thanh Khe and Lien Chieu districts. This is the lifeline for promoting tourism and urban economic development in the Da Nang Bay area with key projects such as Lien Chieu Seaport, coastal route connecting Lien Chieu Port with other areas; Lang Van tourist resort and entertainment area plus Da Nang Mikazuki Resorts and Spa.

It borders Hai Van Pass to the north, the Cu De river mouth to the south, the Da Nang Bay to the east, and the bypass to south of the Hai Van Tunnel, the coastal embankment in the residential area of Hoa Hiep Bac Ward and the Lien Chieu Industrial Park to the west.
