Chairman Tho proudly briefed his guests on his city’s successful hosting of the recently-concluded APEC 2017 Economic Leaders’ Week from 6-11 November.
The host also asked for help from the government of Daegu City, and that of South Korea as a whole, to appeal for even more their businesses to invest into Da Nang’s hi-tech and dedicated IT parks in the years ahead.
Chairman Tho also highlighted the importance of organising more fine arts, cultural and delegation exchanges between the 2 cities in the future years. In addition, the city leader said he would like the Daegu City authorities to assist Da Nang to promote its image amongst citizens of this South Korean locality.
Also, Da Nang is in current need of consultancy services from Daegu City regarding warnings of natural disasters, urban management, and waste water and solid waste treatment.
In reply, Mayor Kwon Young Jin happily remarked that Daegu City is proud of being one of Da Nang’s twin cities. Furthermore, the South Korean guest underlined the importance of fostering bilateral, multi-faceted cooperation between the 2 cities in the coming years.
In particular, he re-affirmed his locality’s willingness to assist Da Nang in all aspects.
