Mitsui Group seeks investment opportunities in the city
On Thursday, Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho played host to the General Director of Mitsui&Co Viet Nam of Japan’s Mitsui Group, Mr Masahiro Moriyasu.

The Japanese guest's visit to the city aimed to attend the ongoing APEC 2017 Economic Leaders’ Week (AELW), and to seek investment opportunities here as well.
Chairman Tho took the opportunity to appeal for the Mitsui Group to invest in such the city's infrastructure and urban development projects as the construction of the deep-sea Lien Chieu Port, the relocation of the city’s railway station to Lien Chieu District’s Hoa Minh Ward, and associated urban redevelopment.
The host also appealed for investment inflows from this Japanese group into the city’s Hi-tech and Information Technology (IT) parks.
In reply, Mr Moriyasu remarked that the city’s projects mentioned above are involved in aspects in which the Mitsui Group boasts great potential and strengths. He, therefore, pledged that his group would gain an insight into these projects to finally decide whether or not it will invest into them.
The Mitsui Group is one of the largest keiretsu in Japan and one of the largest corporate groups in the world. The group how has a total of 139 offices and overseas trading affiliates in 66 countries and territories worldwide, and 469 affiliated companies for consolidation.
