Indian naval ships arrive in the city
On Monday morning, 3 Indian naval ships docked at Da Nang’s Tien Sa Port to begin a 5-day visit to the city. They are the guided missile frigate warship INS Sahyadri, the oil tanker INS Shakti, and the anti-submarine warfare corvette INS Kamorta, all commanded by Rear Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi.

The visit aims to strengthen bilateral friendship cooperation, and intensify mutual understanding and trust between the navies of the 2 countries. This will help to enhance the Viet Nam-India traditional friendship.
During their stay in the city, a total of 913 officers and crew members aboard the 3 ships are scheduled to pay courtesy visits to the city’s leaders, and the High Command of Naval Zone 3. In addition, they will play a friendly volleyball match against their colleagues from the Zone 3 Naval High Command, and students from the University of Da Nang.
Also, the Indian naval soldiers will visit some of the city’s popular tourist attractions, and discover the beauty of Hoi An City and My Son Sanctuary in Quang Nam Province.
They will deliver trumpet performances to serve locals and visitors at the Easter Sea Park, and take part in joint search and rescue exercises at sea.
