Indian naval ship visits the city

On Tuesday, the Indian naval ship INS Sahyadri docked at Da Nang’s Tien Sa Port to begin its 4-day visit to the city.

During their stay in Da Nang, Indian officers and crew members are scheduled to pay courtesy visits to the city’s leaders, and the High Command of Naval Zone 3.

Besides, they will exchange professional experience and conduct a joint exercise with their colleagues from the Viet Nam People’s Navy.

In addition, the Indian guests will participate in cultural and sports exchange activities with their colleagues from the Zone 3 Naval High Command.

Also, they will visit some of the city’s popular attractions, and discover the beauty of Hoi An City and My Son Sanctuary in Quang Nam Province.

Also on the same day, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh warmly received a group of the ship’s naval officers, led by captain Ashwin Arvind.

During his reception for his Indian guests, Vice Chairman Minh highly lauded the visit made by the Indian ship which helped to strengthen bilateral friendship cooperation, and intensify mutual understanding and trust between the navies of the 2 countries.

The host hoped that his city would welcome even more visitors from India, and Western Asia as a whole, in the time ahead.

In reply, captain Ashwin Arvind said he was very impressed with the city’s rapid economic growth over recent years. He added his naval officers and men would have the opportunity to visit some popular attractions in Da Nang, and enjoy local specialities in addition to conducting a joint exercise during their 4-day stay here.

The Indian guest affirmed he would introduce his friends and relatives to Da Nang, and encourage them to visit the city, after returning home.
