Group of reporters from DA NANG Newspaper win first at Publicity Press Awards 2021
On Monday morning, the Da Nang Department of Information and Communications held a ceremony to honour winners of the Da Nang Publicity Press Awards 2021.

In his speech delivered at the ceremony, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Information and Communications Nguyen Thu Phuong affirmed that journalistic works significantly contributed to publicizing the city’s important guidelines and policies, and raising public awareness about COVID-19 prevention and control work.
After more than 4 months of launching, the organizers received nearly 300 entries about three groups of topics namely ‘The year of growth restoration and economic development promotion’, ‘Digital transformation’, and ‘The city's fight against COVID-19’. The entries were involved in four journalism fields, namely print and online newspapers, radio and television.

As a result, 3 first, 4 second, 4 third and 7 consolation prizes were awarded to the outstanding entrants.
Among the winners were reporters from DA NANG Newspaper who received one first and one second prizes.
Specifically, a group of reporters, consisting of Dieu Minh, Le Hung, Khanh Hoa, Huynh Nhung and Thanh Huyen, won the first prize for their ‘20 Days of Practicing Stay-At-Home Order’ work. Meanwhile, the second prize went to the ‘Frontliners in COVID-19 Battle’ by journalist Bui Ngoc Phu.
Also at the ceremony, 15 groups received Certificates of Merit from Da Nang People's Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh in recognition of their active involvement in publicizing the city's efforts in the COVID-19 battle, including the DA NANG Newspaper.
Moreover, 7 groups and 5 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit from the Da Nang Department of Information and Communications for their outstanding achievements in the publicity activities for the city’s COVID-19 prevention and control from April 27 - May 15.
