Enterprises which want to expand production must actively seek new customer markets and boost exports.

Politburo member and State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc made that statement during his visit to the Da Nang-headquartered March 29 Textile and Garment JSC.

When meeting with the company’s leaders, President Phuc highly appreciated the 45-year history of the company’s construction and development. He added the company has been constantly developing from a joint-venture company to a state-owned company and now a joint-stock company.

He highly lauded the great efforts made by the company’s leaders and staff in fulfilling its assigned tasks, and gaining numerous comprehensive achievements in all aspects, especially in creating jobs for locals and improving incomes for employees.

President Phuc greatly appreciated the initiative of the company in flexibly moving from normal production model to special production one in the context of COVID-19 with specific measures. Also, in the context of fierce competitive market, the company has took the initiative to look for new markets and boost exports, in tandem with improving the working environment. He hoped that the company's leaders would continue their efforts to secure the company’s reputation.

State President Phuc also highly praised the Party Committee and the People's Committee of Da Nang for their great efforts in vaccinating the company’s workers. He hoped that the company will continue to find new markets, enhancing healthcare services for its employees, and training a team of good managers to continue to lead the company to develop strongly, with larger scale in the coming time.

According to Mrs Pham Thi Xuan Nguyet, the General Director of the March 29 Textile and Garment JSC, the COVID-19 pandemic seriously affected the company in 2021. However, with the spirit of proactively overcoming difficulties and flexibly adapting to any situation, the March 29 Textile and Garment JSC has strived to complete orders, overcome the current pandemic-triggered difficulties, and affirm its reputation in the market.

In 2021 alone, the company still surpassed last year's target by 10% to hit VND 830 billion in revenue. Of which, the company earned USD 72 million from exports, equaling 114% as compared to the same period last year. Most notably, its employees each earn an average monthly income of VND8.5 million.
