State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc pays Tet trip to Da Nang
On February 1, the 1st day of the Lunar New Year, Politburo member, State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc paid a Tet visit and extended the best wishes to the Da Nang armed forces, the government and the people of Hai Chau District and Thuan Phuoc Ward.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, the Deputy Minister of Public Security; Major General Le Van Phuc, the Deputy Commander of the Da Nang Border Guard; Lieutenant General Trinh Dinh Thach, the Political Commissar of Military Zone 5; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee cum Chairman of the municipal People's Council Luong Nguyen Minh Triet and Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Le Trung Chinh were attendees at the reception for the State President.
Outstanding achievements in the fight against COVID-19
During his Tet visit, State President Phuc praised the outstanding achievements recorded by the city's armed forces, namely the Da Nang Military Command, the Police Department and the Border Guard Command, in making an important contribution to the implementation of the tasks of socio-economic development and security - defence, especially in COVID-19 prevention and control.
Da Nang has been assessed by the national government as one of the localities with many creative, drastic and specific decisions in COVID-19 containment. Officers and soldiers have done well in coronavirus prevention and control, thereby significant contributing to the protection of the people's health and the city’s development.
“Da Nang has developed new mechanisms, resolutions and models in the development process and needs to continue to deal with existing problems and challenges so that it can develop into a civilized, modern city with deep international integration, have a new growth model and apply many new scientific and technical advances in all aspects to further develop the city” the State President said.

Hai Chau must be the leading district in Da Nang’s revolutionary movement
Hai Chau must be the leading district in Da Nang’s revolutionary movement as it is not only the city’s central district, but it also a place where many talents and great resources gather.
In 2022, Hai Chau District is urged to set more specific goals in implementing the contents of urban civilisation, applying scientific and technological advances, and building e-citizens and cultural behaviour.
In Thuan Phuoc Ward, Hai Chau District, State President Phuc praised the ward's great efforts in fulfilling the poverty reduction target in the 2017 - 2022 period and its high determination in helping all needy households escape from the poverty in the 2022 - 2027 period.
“Officials and civil servants of Thuan Phuoc Ward and others in Hai Chau District shall make greater efforts to improve the people's material and spiritual life, and promote the local emulation movement”, State President Phuc asked.
