Da Nang focuses on promoting consumption markets for agricultural products
It is high time for the Da Nang Farmers' Association to be more active in implementing urban agricultural economic models. In particular, it is necessary to support local farmers to build trademarks and speed up trade promotion, joint ventures and supply chain linkages, ensure consumption markets for their products and avoid price devaluation.

As for other important task in the coming time, Deputy Secretary Triet asked the municipal Farmers' Union to make even more suggestions to the municipal governments on the issuance of guidelines and policies for agricultural development and new-styled rural areas.
In addition, heed should be paid to promptly proposing solutions to the pressing problems of deep concern to farmers today such as site clearance, resettlement, post-clearance and compensation, social welfare, policies to develop agriculture and rural areas and build new-styled rural areas.
Also, more support should be given to farmers, especially those facing financially difficult circumstances and affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman Son said that the city's general plan still prioritizes certain land funds for agricultural development, especially hi-tech agriculture. However, at present, such agricultural models are still fragmented and have not really brought high efficiency.
He proposed the Farmers' Association to mobilise members to promote economic development, with a focus on speeding up the application of technology in production activities, promoting farmers' products to the market.
Addressing the event, Chairman of the municipal Farmers' Association Nguyen Huu Thiet proposed the local authorities to develop cooperative models, creating conditions for the formation of various types of collective economy.
The municipal administration was also proposed to soon implement specifically the construction of infrastructure in areas that have been planned for agricultural production, pay more attention to promoting the Association's cadres to prepare personnel for its congress for the 2023 - 2028 term.
