The scientific seminar entitled “Building and perfecting the law-governed socialist State in Da Nang - Current situation and raised issues” took place in the city on Thursday.

The event was chaired by Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee, Chairman of the municipal People's Council and Head of the city’s Steering Committee for Judicial Reform Luong Nguyen Minh Triet; Head of the municipal Party Committee's Commission for Internal Affairs Vo Cong Chanh; and Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for Judicial Reform and Principal of the School of Politics Nguyen Dinh Thuan.

During the seminar, delegates identified ensuring people's right to mastery, and respecting, guaranteeing and protecting human rights and civil rights as bright spots in building and perfecting the law-governed socialist State in Da Nang. They also proposed a number of solutions to deal with the current limitations and shortcomings during the implementation process.

Head of the municipal Party Committee's Commission for Internal Affairs Vo Cong Chanh acknowledged and highly appreciated the enthusiastic opinions of experts, scientists, leaders of government agencies and units.

He affirmed that Party and government agencies, and socio-political organisations citywide will uphold the spirit of responsibility and join efforts to maintain solidarity, unanimity and determination, to build and perfect the law-governed socialist State in Da Nang in line with the Party Central Committee’s Resolution No. 27 and the municipal Party Committee’s Action Programme No. 29.  This will contribute to building the increasingly professional and modern government, operating effectively and efficiently, serving citizens better as well as promoting the city’s socio-economic development in the near future.

In his remarks at the event, municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet said that the Central Executive Committee’s Resolution No. 27 dated November 9, 2022 on continuing to build and perfect the law-governed socialist State of Viet Nam in new era affirmed core values and basic characteristics of the law-governed socialist State in ensuring the supremacy of the Constitution and laws, maximising the people's right to mastery, upholding the key role and position of the people towards liberation, promoting the strength and intelligence of the masses, and creating motivation for national development.

He added that, to effectively implement Resolution No. 27, the municipal Party Committee's Standing Board issued Action Programme No. 29-CTr/TU.

The programme focuses on highlighting solutions in raising public awareness about the rule-of-law socialist State of Viet Nam; ensuring the people's right to mastery; respecting the Constitution and the law; and protecting human rights and citizens' rights.

Along with that, the city continues to improve the quality of activities of the municipal Delegation of National Assembly Deputies and the municipal People's Council, the People's Council of Hoa Vang District and the People's Councils of communes in Hoa Vang District.

Heed will be on continuing to arrange and innovate activities according to the pilot urban governance model; as well as building a professional, law-governed, modern, effective and efficient State administration to serve citizens in a professional, modern, fair, strict, honest and legal manner.

Besides, the city will pay special attention to implementing a mechanism to control State power; promote prevention and fight against corruption and negativity; strengthen the Party's leadership, and promote the role of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels, and citizens in building and perfecting the law-governed socialist State of Viet Nam.
