During his meeting with Lao guest, Vice Chairman Minh introduced the city’s socio-economic situation, potential and development orientation in the coming time.

He added that, over the past years, Da Nang has coordinated with 5 south central provinces of Laos to implement many cooperation programmes.

These programmes have been mainly involved in building and upgrading schools, public works, Vietnamese language teaching centers, providing scholarships for Lao students studying at the University of Da Nang, sending Vietnamese teachers to Vietnamese language centers, and receiving officials from Lao provinces and sectors to practice and learn from experience in the city.

The city leader proposed that the two sides expand cooperation in economics, trade, services, and tourism in the near future, thereby contributing to fostering economic development and cultivating the special traditional friendship between the Parties, the States and the people of Viet Nam and Laos in general.

The Lao guest said that although it was difficult to predict the regional and international situation, the pure and close friendship between the two peoples of Laos and Viet Nam will increasingly be enhanced, and the cooperative relationships will become increasingly substantive and effective.

As a representative of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, she pledged to make personal contributions to elevate the friendly cooperative relationship between the two countries to a new level.
