Receiving the delegation, municipal People's Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh introduced the guest to a number of key economic fields that the city has been appealing for investment such as tourism and services; seaports and airlines associated with logistics services; and hi-tech industry associated with creative and startup urban construction.

Additionally, Da Nang has been focusing on attracting investment in two new aspects of semiconductor and international financial center, he added.

The Da Nang official took the opportunity to ask Mrs. Katherine Lam to support Da Nang in seaport management and the implementation of a port authority model, as well as connect city leaders with US semiconductor manufacturers, and universities in Da Nang with those in Oregon, in a bid to train human resources to serve the development of the city's semiconductor industry.

In reply, Mrs. Katherine Lam highly appreciated the dynamic development of Da Nang, and expressed the wish that the municipal authorities will continue creating the best conditions for businesses in the State of Oregon, and in the US as a whole, to effectively invest and operate in the city.

She proposed Da Nang and the State of Oregon promote cooperation in tourism, hi-tech and semiconductor technology in the time to come.
