The Looking Glass Jeep Tours company, whose main booking office is located at 38 An Thuong 5 in Ngu Hanh Son District’s My An Ward, has had its website blocked for incorrectly using the name ‘China Beach’ to refer to Da Nang’s Non Nuoc Beach in its tour advertisements on the website.

The blockage was jointly conducted by the Viet Nam Internet Network Information Centre and the municipal Centre for Information and Communication Technology Infrastructure Development.

The Director of the municipal Department of Information and Communications, Mr Nguyen Quang Thanh, noted that the move aimed to prevent the distribution of such false information on the Internet about Viet Nam’s territorial sovereignty.

As reported earlier, the local police officers had also seized the company’s tourist leaflets which incorrectly used the term ‘China Beach’.
