At around 8.00pm on 1 July, Quy took a male passenger from the Bamboo Green Central Hotel at 158 Phan Chau Trinh, Hai Chau District, to Nguyen Huu Thong Street in Son Tra District.

After dropping the passenger, Quy found a bag left inside his taxi which contained 33.5 million VND and 3,000 US$ in cash, and some important personal papers. He immediately managed to contact his passenger, and then returned the missing properties to him.

In another worth praising case, Tay found a black bag containing 130 million VND in cash and many important personal papers while cleaning his cab on 27 June after having driven a man from the Con Market to the Royal Charm Hotel at 46 Tran Bach Dang Street.

The honest driver reported the case to the Mai Linh Taxi switchboard, and then the company returned the missing assets to their owner who was a tourist from the capital city of Ha Noi.

The recipients were both very delighted to get their missing properties back. They thanked the taxi drivers and praised them for their kindness and honesty. They said they were not expecting to see the assets again until he received the good news from the taxi company.

Over recent years, many local taxi drivers have done good deeds, like Quy and Tay. Each of local taxi drivers is considered to be a tourism ambassador for the tourist-packed city in advertising the beautiful images of their companies, and the city’s tourism sector as a whole, to international friends.
