The Ho Chi Minh City-headquartered Deo Ca Investment JSC has suspended its passenger and cargo transport services through the Hai Van Tunnel from 1 April until further notice after the Da Nang government introduced strict social distancing measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus on 1 April.

The two transit stations of the Hai Van Tunnel Management and Operation Joint Stock Company (Hamadeco) were officially put into operation in late 2007. Their transit vehicles carry motorcycles and bicycles, and their riders, through the tunnel because these types of vehicle are banned from using the tunnel.
