The city launches a food aid campaign to support the needy
The Da Nang Red Cross Society is launching a food aid campaign to help those affected by Covid-19 all over the city.

The campaign aims to raise funds to provide food for 3,000 poor people in Da Nang who are placed under lockdown amid the coronavirus outbreak. They include people living below or near the city's poverty threshold, social policy beneficiaries, and single-mothers.
Food aid parcels contain rice, a bunch of fresh vegetables, and some meat and eggs. Each of parcels, valued at 200,000 VND, is given to the needy once a week.
The campaign aims to raise 600 million VND, and over 400 million VND has been raised till date from 13 generous philanthropists across the city.
On Saturday afternoon, the Da Nang Red Cross Society distributed 50 food parcels, totalling 10 million VND, to disadvantaged people in Son Tra District's Tho Quang Ward.
