The little girl suffers from virus-induced acute myocarditis, a very rare disease posing a high risk of mortality.
To save her life, doctors have put her on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO after she underwent an emergency congenital heart surgery. She is out of the operating theatre, but she is not fully conscious yet.
Till date, the costs of medical care and treatment for Trinh have been over 200 million VND. The figures are expected to increase in the coming time because Trinh is treated in intensive care. However, Trinh’s parents have lost their jobs due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The family of Trinh is now desperately in need of financial aid to pay for her little daughter’s treatment costs.
