Police officers in Da Nang vaccinated against COVID-19
The Da Nang-based 199 Hospital under Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security, and the Da Nang branch of the Viet Nam Vaccine JSC (VNVC) are jointly offering free COVID-19 vaccinations to a combined total of about 220 police officers in Da Nang from April 16 to 19.
The injected people are among frontliners in the city's fight against COVID- 19 from the city - based police forces under the Ministry of Public Security, including Central Viet Nam Guard (K01) office and the Da Nang International Airport Border Gate Police.
The doses have been approved by the Vietnamese Ministry of Health, developed by British-Swedish pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca in collaboration with the UK-based Oxford University.
According to VNVC, which is the importer, the AstraZeneca vaccine provides a high immune response from 62 percent to 90 percent. Study results showed that 100 percent of the vaccinated people had an immune response to COVID-19 without any serious complications.
