People in Fhome Da Nang apartment complex on lockdown test negative for COVID-19
All 624 people in Fhome Da Nang apartment complex that is linked to a positive case of the city and is placed under lockdown have tested negative for COVID-19 once, the Da Nang Center for Disease Control (CDC) anounced on Monday noon.
Medical workers collected a throat and nasal swab of all residents living in Fhome Da Nang apartment complex to test for the virus in the afternoon of May 9. |
Earlier on May 9, local medical workers took a throat and nasal swab of these people to test for the virus.
The Hai Chau District authorities put this apartment complex under lockdown in the evening of May 8 because this place is linked to a recently-confirmed case in Da Nang.
Medical workers have conducted a group testing on these people. Groups of samples that test negative are ruled out. But if a group tests positive, every sample in that group is then retested individually.
“Despite their negative coronavirus test results, all residents living in this building remain in lockdown until further notice. All of them are required to adhere to the city’s COVID-19 control measures during the lockdown period”, Hai Chau District Medical Centre Director Vo Van Dong said.
