Travel history of Da Nang massage therapist testing positive for COVID-19 released

The Da Nang Department of Health has unveiled what it has known so far about the travel history of a female massage therapist in the city who tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.

The patient, 25, a resident of Vinh Vien Commune, Long My District, the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang, now works at the Phu An Hotel at No 48 September 2 Street, Hai Chau District, Da Nang.

Before April 29, the woman had lived in her hometown in Hau Giang Province.

From 11:00am to 1:00pm on April 29, she travelled from Can Tho to Da Nang by air for taking the job offered by the Phu An Hotel. On the evening of the same day, she strolled alone from the hotel to a park on September 2 Street for physical exercise in 15 minutes.

On April 30 morning, the female massage therapist stayed at the hotel. At about 7:00 pm on the same day, she took milk tea at the Thinh shop, opposite the hotel. Later, she had close contact with a guest at the hotel.

From April 30 to May 1, she took a GrabBike ride to the Cam Le Market in the namesake district to buy some personal belongings, and made the purchase of some medicines at a unidentified pharmacy in the market, and then came back to the hotel.

On the morning of May 2, she and a friend of hers took a GrabCar ride to Hoang Si Khai Street, near the Han River Bridge for breakfast. Having had breakfast, the duo again ordered a GrabCar service for trip to Phuoc My Market, Son Tra District. Here, the two visited a grocery store on the ground floor and a shirts selling stall on the second floor.

At noon of May 3, she had close contact with a male resident living in Thanh Khe District. In the afternoon of the same day, she took a GrabBike ride to Truong Chinh Street for laundry services, and then returned to the hotel for work.

For the time being, the list of F1 and F2 is still being tracked down.

According to the Municipal Health Department, these above-mentioned locations will be updated after investigation and verification.

At the same time, it is suggested that those visiting the aforementioned locations where the female COVID-19 patient visited should immediately contact medical centres in their locales to make medical declarations and take necessary measures against COVID-19 for their safety.

Da Nang has provide information on the patient to the centres for disease control in Hau Giang Province and Can Tho City so that the two localities can take timely precautionary measures against the deadly virus in accordance with the national regulations.
