Da Nang reports 50 new cases
Da Nang reported 50 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, July 28, of which, 39 have been in managed isolation, the remainder were found in the community, the municipal Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control's latest figure shows.
In particular, 31 of the total 50 confirmed cases were linked to the highly transmissible infection chain at the Tho Quang fishing wharf, bringing the total infections till date to 81.
Meanwhile, 5 cases were related to the Da Son slaughterhouse, taking the total infections to 39 up to now.
The total infections recorded in the city have climbed to 514 since July 10 when a local man in Cam Le District’s Hoa Xuan Ward was confirmed contracting the virus after many days of no community transmissions in the city.
For the time being, there are over 3,000 primary and more than 4,400 secondary contacts of COVID-19 patients across the city. All of the primary or close contacts are monitored at concentrated quarantine facilities, whilst the secondary contacts are under self-quarantine at their places of residence.
Also on Wednesday, over VND29 million in fines were imposed on 17 cases for going against COVID-19 prevention and control regulations.
