Da Nang records 9 cases of COVID-19 on Oct.24 in managed isolation

On Sunday, October 24, Da Nang recorded 9 new cases of COVID-19, all of which were found in managed isolation. No community-acquired cases were recorded throughout the city on Sunday.

In detail, of the nine new patients, three were found in the city’s designated centralised quarantine facilities, all of whom were the close contact of a previously-confirmed patient dwelling at 259 Le Duan, Tan Chinh Ward, Thanh Khe District.

Another three patients were acquired at a locked-down residential quarter at 201 Hoang Dieu, Nam Duong Ward, Hai Chau District, and all of them were also linked to the transmission clusters at 259 Le Duan.

The remaining ones were discovered during their mandatory at-home quarantine. They were the returnees from coronavirus-stricken HCM City.

On Sunday, Da Nang handled 106 returnees from other pandemic-struck localities nationwide, all of whom were put under mandatory quarantine in accordance with the regulations.

Currently, 39 returnees are undergoing mandatory quarantine at the local authorities- designated centralised facilities whilst 918 others are self-quarantining at home.

The city now has 4 blockaded sites, putting 56 households with a combined total of 198 people under lockdown. Of them, 79 residents belonging to 18 sealed-off families are logged in Hai Chau District, whilst the rest are identified in Thanh Khe District.

A combined total of 342 people are now subject to compulsory quarantine in 14 centralised facilities.

Up to now, 1,000,608 out of the already received 1,007,856 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered to Da Nang residents.

Of the vaccinated people throughout Da Nang, 854, 413 have received the first shots of COVID-19 vaccines whilst 146,195 have got a full 2-dose course.

Since July 10 when the current COVID-19 wave started in Da Nang, its caseload tally has stayed at 4,703.
