No new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Da Nang on Oct.17

Da Nang had zero coronavirus cases on Sunday, October 17, according to the municipal Steering Board of COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
Also on the same day, a combined total of 44,734 local residents across the city had their nasal swab samples taken for COVID-19 testing, 43,516 of whom tested for the virus via the RT-PCR technique whilst the rest were subject to the rapid antigen testing.
Today, Da Nang received 77 returnees from other pandemic-struck localities nationwide, all of whom were put under mandatory quarantine in line with the regulations.
Currently, 73 returnees are undergoing mandatory quarantine at the local authorities- designated centralised facilities whilst 593 others are self-quarantining at home.
A combined total of 348 people are now subject to compulsory quarantine in 13 centralised facilities.
Till date, all of the total 56 communes and wards citywide have been labelled as ‘green zones’ where neither community-acquired cases nor locked-down sites have been logged over the past 14 days.
Up to now, 970,230 out of the already received 1,007,856 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered to Da Nang residents. In detail, 845,125 people have received the first dose whilst 125,105 people have got the second shot.
Since July 10 when the current COVID-19 wave started in Da Nang, the municipal caseload tally has stayed at 4,682.
