Today, October 11, Da Nang reported zero new coronavirus cases, according to the municipal Steering Board of COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Also on the same day, a combined total of 4,422 local residents across the city had their nasal swab samples taken for COVID-19 testing, 2,436 of whom tested for the virus via the RT-PCR technique whilst the remaining 1,986 were subject to the rapid antigen testing.

Also on Monday, Da Nang’s functional forces received 46 returnees from other pandemic-struck localities, all of whom were put under mandatory quarantine in line with the regulations. Currently, 171 returnees are undergoing mandatory quarantine at the city’s designated concentrated areas whilst 234 others are self-quarantining at home.

There are 13 still- in-operation facilities putting a combined total of 316 people under quarantine.

For the time being, there is only one blockaded area in An Khe Ward, Thanh Khe District, with links to previous COVID-19 infections, housing 23 households with a combined total of 91 residents.

Till date, 55 out of the total 56 communes and wards citywide have been labelled as ‘green zones’ where neither community-acquired cases nor locked-down sites have been logged over the past 14 days as follow:

Hoa Vang District: the communes of Hoa Bac, Hoa Khuong, Hoa Tien, Hoa Phu, Hoa Lien, Hoa Nhon, Hoa Phong, Hoa Phuoc, Hoa Ninh, Hoa Chau and Hoa Son

Son Tra District: the wards of An Hai Bac, Man Thai, An Hai Tay, Phuoc My, Nai Hien Dong, Tho Quang and An Hai Dong

Ngu Hanh Son District: the wards of Hoa Quy, Hoa Hai, My An and Khue My.

Cam Le District: the wards of Khue Trung, Hoa Tho Tay, Hoa Phat, Hoa Tho Dong, Hoa Xuan and Hoa An

Lien Chieu District: the wards of Hoa Minh, Hoa Hiep Nam, Hoa Hiep Bac, Hoa Khanh Nam and Hoa Khanh Bac

Hai Chau District: the wards of Phuoc Ninh, Nam Duong, Hai Chau 1, Hoa Cuong Nam, Binh Hien, Hoa Thuan Dong, Hoa Thuan Tay, Hoa Cuong Bac, Thach Thang, Hai Chau 2, Thanh Binh, Binh Thuan and Thuan Phuoc

Thanh Khe District: the wards of Hoa Khe, Thanh Khe Dong, Thac Gian, Chinh Gian, Xuan Ha, Thanh Khe Tay, Tan Chinh, Vinh Truing and Tam Thuan.

Since July 10 when the current COVID-19 wave started in Da Nang, 4,677 active cases have been logged citywide.
