Over these days, the Tet atmosphere has crept through every alley, not only in the beloved city of Da Nang but also throughout the country. With the determination that every house has Tet, all-levelled authorities have made their utmost efforts to mobilize and provide material support to ensure that everyone and every house can celebrate Tet in a warm and peaceful manner.

As Tet is getting closer and closer, the Women's Unions (WU) of An Hai Tay Ward, Son Tra District has currently actively mobilize and present gifts to support poor women, single women raising children.

According to Ms Nguyen Thuy Hong My Le Dung, Chairman of the WU of An Hai Tay Ward, the unit has built a model of "Zero-VND festival" to mobilize resources aiming to take care of women in difficult economic circumstances. The unit has given 288 gifts worth VND77 million to disadvantaged women, mobilized VND10 million to repair a house for a difficult woman before the Lunar New Year.

In the same vein, on January 18, the WU of Son Tra District organized a “Zero-VND” Tet market to help disadvantaged women welcome Tet. Thereby, 550 gifts worth VND 160 million were given to poor, near-poor women members and single women with the spirit of "The whole country joins hands for the poor, leaving no one behind".

As for Ngu Hanh Son District, authorities at all levels has tried their hardest to complete giving support gifts to poor households, near-poor ones, and policy households before the approaching Lunar New Year.

Head of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ngu Hanh Son District Mai Xuan Linh said that this year, the district supported 2,058 gifts, each meaning VND500,000 to poor households. Besides, the District People's Committee spent more than VND 3.1 billion to support policy families, people’s armed forces heroes, Vietnamese heroic mothers.

Meanwhile, in Lien Chieu District, these days, authorities have also are made their best efforts to care for poor households, near-poor ones, policy households, and people with meritorious services.

The District People's Committee authorities have visited and handed over gifts to nearly 4,000 policy beneficiaries with a total budget of nearly VND 1.2 billion.

Besides, the district has supported 182 gifts, each of VND 300,000 for people picking up trash at the Khanh Son landfill; given gifts to 300 disabled and orphaned children in extremely difficult circumstances with the total amount of VND 90 million; presented gifts to nearly 1,400 poor households, households having someone died due to COVID-19, households with people confirmed with COVID-19 or exposing directly to COVID-19 patients with a total amount of VND 420 million.

In addition, the District People's Committee has also mobilized from organizations and individuals to support about 4,500 gifts, a total value of nearly VND 2 billion to help people feel secure to welcome the Tet holiday.

With the spirit of "The whole country joins hands for the poor, leaving no one behind", Da Nang Front together with the authorities at all levels have mobilized and supported 14,000 gifts for poor and disadvantaged households at the program "Spring of love - Tiger year 2022". Thanks to this program, the unit wishes to support disadvantaged people having a warm spring in the sharing and care of the community after a tough time due to COVID-19 pandemic.
