The Da Nang Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defence on Wednesday morning announced that public offices reopened their doors from 1:30pm today in line with the direction from the municipal government after tropical Storm Noru's approach to the Mid-central region had prompted a number of closure announcements.

The municipal government also announced the resumption of normal travel among local residents after the storm while storm Noru evacuees can return home from 11:00am today.  However, the ban on beach swimming and fishing activities in rivers, streams, lakes, dams, and flood and landslide prone areas remain in place as heavy rain and high winds continue in the city.

The municipal administration asked authoritities at local level and relevant agencies to take all necessary measures to ensure safety in homes of storm Noru evacuees when they return home after the storm in an attempt to help them prevent injuries or unexpected incidents.

The Authority of the Da Nang Hi-tech Park and Industrial Parks was tasked to work with industrial businesses to issue return announcements for their workers after the storm in accordance with their situation. Authorities at local level and relevant agencies were urged to conduct cleanup and recovery efforts following typhoon Noru.

The Da Nang Department of Education and Training today announced that all school across the city will reopen Thursday after they had to shut down due to the effects of storm Noru that struck the parts from Da Nang to Quang Nam Province early Wednesday morning.
