The Da Nang University of Economics, in collaboration with the Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House and the Da Nang University of Education, has held a national scientific seminar on the topic ‘Human resources and driving force for national development’.

The seminar attracted nearly 100 experts and scientists from universities, academies and research institutes across Viet Nam.

At the event, experts said that, in recent years, the scale of human resources nationwide has increased in all industries and fields, especially high-quality workforce in breakthrough industries and fields. Labour structure has shifted from low to high labour productivity areas.

Human resource training has positively changed in the direction of focusing on quality improvement, training associated with the labour needs of the locality, enterprises and employers, and  initially applying training methods adopted by international human resource training organisations.

However, in the face of the industrial revolution 4.0, experts proposed human resource development solutions such as building a team of good leaders - managers, good civil servants, scientific and technological staff, and high- quality workforce.

Along with these, human resource training must be comprehensive with a heed paid to culture, ethics, personality, professional knowledge capacity, creative thinking capacity, practical capacity and soft skills.
