After typhoon Noru hit the mid-central region, the Traffic Police Department under the Ministry of Public Security directed traffic police divisions in typhoon-affected localities to reopen roads to traffic from 6:30am on Wednesday.
Traffic police forces in typhoon-affected provinces and cities regulated vehicles to pass through typhoon-hit areas to avoid causing conflicts and traffic jams.
Earlier, on Tuesday evening, functional forces set up barriers and traffic stops at both ends of the North - South roads before the typhoon’s arrival to ensure traffic safety of road users.
