The Da Nang Confederation of Labour has announced a series of activities to support trade union members and employees across the city for the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2023. The highlights of these events are two fairs offering discounted goods for workers that will take place in the municipal Labour Culture House and Lien Chieu District Administrative Center in efforts to help them enjoy a warm and happy Tet.

Visiting such fairs, workers will have the chance to buy essential items at discounted prices, and enjoy other benefits.

Also at these fairs, the Da Nang Confederation of Labour will give out 55,000 free shopping vouchers totaling VND 5.5 billion to workers in difficult circumstances.

In addition, the Municipal Confederation of Labour has asked Trade Union organisations at all levels to work with relevant units to bring migrant workers back to their hometowns to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Cat 2023. Furthermore, heed will be paid to visiting and giving gifts worth over VND 6 billion in total to poor migrant workers who cannot return to their hometowns for Tet celebration. Importance will be attached to closely monitoring the payment of salaries and Tet bonuses for employees by their employers in line with Vietnamese Labour Law.
