The Da Nang Government has issued plans to ensure security and social order and absolutely protecting the safety of the locals and tourists on the occasion of Christmas, New Year, and the traditional Vietnamese Lunar New Year 2023.

The Da Nang Police must assume the prime responsibility for completing the key tasks during the peak season, maintaining the absolute protection of security and safety of key political, economic, cultural, social and diplomatic objectives, ensuring the working activities of Party and State leaders and international delegations.

Simultaneously, heed will be paid to synchronously deploying measures to prevent and effectively crack down on all kinds of crimes and law violations, strictly managing residence activities and businesses such as bars, pubs, service establishments and doing well the work of fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue missions.

Also, local functional agencies will set a sight on detecting and preventing the existence of the so-called ‘hotspots’ of complex security and order affairs, maintaining national security, absolutely protecting safety during Christmas, New Year, Lunar New Year of Rabbit 2023, political and cultural events and festivals at the beginning of the year, creating conditions for people to enjoy Tet in a safe manner.

Measures will be taken to manage, preserve and destroy weapons and explosives in accordance with laws, increasing the frequency of armed control patrols in maritime border areas. In addition, other tasks include the handling of drug crime clues and lines, strictly managing of activities of all kinds of ships and boats during anchorages and inland waterway activities.
