A Spring Folklore Festival of the Year of Cat took place at the Tran Phu Senior High School in Hai Chau District, Da Nang, on Saturday, attracting a large number of school pupils.

The festival had a total of 18 food stalls of 18 class groups with dishes from different regions.
In addition, there were a number of folk games such as tug of war, “cuop co” (capturing the flag), and contests to wrap ‘banh chung’ and decorate five-fruit trays and conical hats.
Nguyen Tran Phuong Tu, a pupil of the grade 12/9, said that the festival provided the opportunity for her and her friends to have more beautiful memories of the final year of senior high school, as well as experience the taste of the ancient Tet.
As for 10th grader Tran Khanh Hien, the festival was a chance for her to connect with friends in a new environment and meet many old friends in middle school besides knowing more about the ancient tradition of Tet.
