Da Nang ranked 12^th place amongst the 63 cities and provinces nationwide in the Public Administration Reform (PAR) Index in 2023, falling seven notches compared to the previous ranking (the city was placed in the 5^th position in 2022). However, the aggregate score of 88.68 points was higher than the previous year of 87.54 poin.

The results were announced by the Government’s Steering Committee for Administrative Reform announced on Wednesday morning.

Quang Ninh took the lead nationally in the PAR INDEX rankings with 92.18%, followed by the northern port city of Hai Phong with 91.87% and Ha Noi with 91.43%.

Meanwhile, An Giang Province came bottom of the rankings.

Amongst national ministries, and ministerial-level agencies, the Ministry of Justice ranked first with a result of 89.95%. At the bottom of the ranking is the Ministry of Industry and Trade, reaching 78.03%.

In terms of the 2023 Satisfaction Index of Public Administration Services (SIPAS), which assesses the performance of public services in 16 fields in 63 provinces and cities from citizens’ perspectives, Quang Ninh continued to hold the top position at 90.61%. Bac Kan Province was placed in the lowest position in the country with 75.03%. Da Nang reached 83.38% and ranked 22^nd at the provincial level.
