Bali, the famous “resort paradise” of Indonesia, will have one more international airport in 2024 which will be located at Kubutambahan coast, Buleleng district, along with the current Ngurah Rai Airport which is operating in the southern part of the island.

Construction of the project is about to commence after PT BIDU Panji Sakti on December 29 signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China Construction First Group Ltd (CCFG), a subsidiary of Chinese state-owned construction firm China State Construction (CSCEC).

PT BIBU Panji Sakti and CCFG are currently working together to carry out the project, of which CCFG is the main contractor.

With a design capacity of receiving 20 million passengers per year, the new airport will relieve pressure on the existing NgurahRai International Airport in Denpasar city - Indonesia’s main tourist gateway, while balancing tourism between the southern and northern part of the island.
