On Tuesday, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Vo Duy Khuong visited the Da Nang branch of the Vietnam Brewery Limited (VBL).  During his visit he spoke highly of VBL’s remarkable achievements over recent years, and highlighted the facility’s positive results in its business activities and its involvment in the local community.

The city leader took the opportunity to ask the brewery to develop the city’s own brand named beer products.  He also vowed that the local authorities would create even more favourable conditions for the plant to expand its production activities in the future.

In reply, a representative from the city’s branch of VBL said that his facility is striving to expand its annual production capacity to 240 million litres of beer this year, and to 500 million litres in the years ahead. 

In addition, he remarked that last year his plant made the biggest tax contribution to the city’s budget with around 1.2 trillion VND.  This year, 1.7 trillion VND in tax is expected to be contributed.
