Vietjet celebrates new route with 300,000 super cheap tickets
Budget carrier Vietjet Air is offering zero-fare tickets on domestic flights as it prepares to inaugurate a new flight route.

The airline is selling 300,000 reduced-fare tickets, priced from US$0, as part of the ‘It’s 12pm, Let’s Vietjet’ promotion to celebrate the opening of a new flight route connecting Ha Noi and Hue.
The inaugural flight is slated to depart Ha Noi for Hue on November 1, according to the carrier.
Passengers will leave Ha Noi at 12:35 pm and arrive in Hue at 1:45 pm. Return flights will take off from Phu Bai International Airport in Hue at 2:20 pm and touch down in the capital city at 3:30 pm.
The promotional tickets are available between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm from Wednesday to Friday, Vietjet said.
The promotion is applicable to all routes from Ha Noi to Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Da Lat, Pleiku, Tuy Hoa, Can Tho, Buon Ma Thuot, Quy Nhon, Chu Lai and Hue and vice versa between September 1 and December 31, excluding national holidays, the airline added.
The airline recently won an IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) Certification from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and was named in the top 500 of Asia’s Top 1,000 Brands of 2016, an online survey developed by Campaign Asia-Pacific and the UK-based global information and insights provider Nielsen.
Currently, the airline boasts a fleet of 40 aircraft, including A320s and A321s, and operates 300 flights daily, offering 53 domestic and international routes including to Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, China, Myanmar, and Malaysia.
It has carried nearly 25 million passengers to date.
