An eel-fishing boat, owned by 35-year-old fisherman Thai Vinh Ngo from Thanh Khe District’s Thac Gian Ward, was launched on Tuesday morning after taking nearly 4 months to build.

The 970CV boat, the first of its kind in the central region, was built at a cost of around 11 billion VND.

Mr Ngo said “My boat, with a crew of around 40, will operate in the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa waters.  Each of our offshore trips will last for between 10 and 20 days”.
