New planning projects approved

The Da Nang leaders have recently approved some local planning projects and their architectural designs.

The go-ahead has been given to the detailed plans of the Hoa Nhon Industrial Park (IP) which will consist of 3 separate subdivisions in Hoa Vang District.

The first subdivision will be earmarked exclusively for businesses involved in producing construction materials, whilst the second one will be for only foreign-invested enterprises, and the last one for support industries.

The green light has been given to the upgrade of the 3,955m2 Bac My An Market in Ngu Hanh Son District.  Also, a 2,980m2 trade centre of between 5 and 7 storeys will be constructed near this market.

Approval from the city authorities has been given to the building of a new bridge linking Bui Ta Han Street in Ngu Hanh Son District’s Khue My Ward to the Hoa Xuan eco-urban area in Cam Le District.

As for public service projects, funds from the city budget will go to the upgrade of public utilities along some local beaches.  Included are freshwater showers, drinking areas and beach sports playgrounds, parking areas and beachfront landscapes to satisfy the increasing demands of local residents and visitors. 

The municipal Center for Investment Promotion will be rebuilt at 18 Hung Vuong in Hai Chau District.  In addition, a 1,170,861m2 hi-tech agricultural production area will be constructed in Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Ninh Commune. 

The 1,023m2 Hoa Tho Dong Culture and Sports Centre in Cam Le District will be expanded to its eastern side.

The city leaders have also approved some adjustments to the architectural designs of the Hoa Lien Water Supply Plant in Hoa Vang District, and those of a new urban area project incorporating the Dong No eco-urban area in Cam Le District, and a countryside culture park and riverside tourism complex in Ngu Hanh Son District’s Hoa Quy Ward.

Permission from the municipal government has given to some adjustments to the Da Nang Times Square project in Son Tra District.  It will feature a 78.65m-tall, 20-storey-plus-2-basement building and 183 hotel rooms. 

Moreover, a 24-storey-plus-2-basement hotel, offering 180 rooms, will be also constructed on 2 September Street.

The Coca Cola Vietnam has been permitted by the city authorities to extend its land lease period by 20 years to 50 years for a 40,000m2 land area in Lien Chieu District’s Hoa Minh Ward. 

In a similar vein, the extension of the land lease period by one year at a 6,243m2 area in Cam Le District’s Hoa Tho Tay Ward has also been given to the Hoa Cam Concrete JSC.
