In recent days, bustling trade atmosphere has been recorded in such major markets in Hoa Vang District as Tuy Loan (Hoa Phong Commune), Huong Phuoc (Hoa Lien Commune) and Mieu Bong (Hoa Phuoc Commune).
The supply of essential goods for Tet, including confectionery, jam, sunflower and watermelon seeds, clothes and home appliances, offered by market stall holders in this district has increased by 50% compared with normal days.
Head of the Management Board of Traditional Markets in Hoa Vang District Nguyen Kim Dinh said his unit has unveiled plans to stabilise the market prices of essential goods during Tet.
In particular, market price stabilisation programmes will be launched in the rural and mountainous communes of Hoa Lien and Hoa Phu in a bid to bring Tet goods to local residents at reasonable prices between 27 and 30 January.
Also, pork will be sold at stabilised prices at the Tuy Loan Market from 9-11 February (the 28th to 30th days of the 12th lunar month).
Da Nang BigC Mall has planned to stockpile a large volume of Tet goods in order to satisfy the growing shopping demand of its shoppers.
Director of the supermarket Nguyen Thi Trung Thu said, in addition to diversified types of Tet products, Da Nang BigC Mall is now offering a wide range of eye-catching and qualified Tet baskets in a bid to serve the shopping and gifting needs of both business and individual customers.

According to a spokesperson for Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade, more than 1,700 billion VND have been spent on stockpiling food and consumer goods ready to supply the public across the city. Included are essential consumer goods with great consumption at Tet as rice and glutinous rice, meat, vegetables and fruits of all kinds, processed, canned and dried foods, and confectionery.
A Tet fair featuring about 300 booths with a variety of reasonably priced products will take shape in the coming time.
Meat will be sold at 5,000 VND below market price at 10 locations in busy areas of the city in the days leading up to Tet. The meat will be supplied by the Dac Vinh Company and Da Nang branch of the CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company.
