As per request of the Da Nang government, relevant local agencies are drafting adjustments to the overall construction planning of Da Nang Hi-tech Park by increasing the planned total area to 1,844ha from the current 1,128ha.

The draft plan must be submitted to the municipal administration for consideration before September 10 and later submission to the Prime Minister for permission.

As for the specific functions of the Authority of Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Zones (DHPIZA), this agency is under direct management of the municipal People's Committee.

In addition to conducting the direct State management of the Da Nang Hi-tech Park and industrial parks (IPs) across the city as previously, this agency is now assigned to be in charge of monitoring the operation of the Da Nang Concentrated Information Technology (IT) Park.

Besides, DHPIZA must provide public administrative services and other supporting ones related to investment, production and business activities for investors operating in the Hi-tech Park, the Concentrated IT Park and IPs across the city in line with laws.

DHPIZA must give constructive proposals on the implementation of procedures related the  111ha expansion of the Da Nang Concentrated IT Park, thus bringing the total area to 242.5 ha.

Previously, on January 6, 2020, the Prime Minister gave a nod to the development of the first stage of the Da Nang Concentrated IT Park.

Covering an area of 131 ha in Hoa Lien Commune, Hoa Vang District, the first stage of the Da Nang Concentrated IT Park is being developed by  the Da Nang IT Park Development JSC.

The Park is entitled to preferential policies for concentrated IT parks nationwide as prescribed in Decree No. 154/2013/ND-CP and other laws.
