The Da Nang People's Committee has issued temporary guidance on the organization of transport activities in Da Nang in the current period following proposal made by the municipal Department of Transport as follows.

Maritime, rail, air and road freight transport is permitted to operate normally at all levels. Meanwhile, passenger transport via roadways and inland waterways must operate according to COVID-19 alert levels.

In areas at COVID-19 alert level 1 or 2 (low - new normal and moderate, respectively), passenger transport by contract car, tourist coach, taxi and bus and means of transporting tourists by inland waterways and internal passenger transport are allowed to operate as normal.

Besides, passenger transport on inter-provincial fixed routes by roadways also operate normally and must meet the requirements of local pandemic prevention and control at the two ends of the route.

In locales at COVID-19 alert level 3 (high), passenger transport by contract car, tourist coach, taxi and bus are allowed to operate at less than or equal to 50% of the total number of vehicles and the volume of designated seats (the distance regulation is not applied to sleeper vehicles.

Meanwhile, passenger transport on inter-provincial fixed routes by car shall not exceed 50% of the number of trips according to the volume announced by the municipal Department of Transport and they are not allowed to transport ore than half the number of passengers they're allowed to carry.

As for passenger transport via inland waterways and internal passenger transport, means of transport must operate at less than or equal to 50% of their designated seating capacity.

In areas placed at COVID-19 alert level 4 (very high) or under lockdown, ban is imposed on the operation of passenger transport by fixed-route vehicle, bus, taxi, contract car, tourist coach, piloted four-wheeled trams and ships transporting tourists via inland waterways.
