A workshop on enhancing digital transformation capacity and seeking smart lighting solutions at accommodation establishments took place in Da Nang on Thursday.

Co-organised by the Da Nang Department of Tourism, the municipal Department of Information and Communications, the local Hotel and Business Associations, the event aimed to connect local accommodation establishments, travel firms and tourist attractions with comprehensive solution providers for digital transformation and smart lighting. This significantly contributed to help tourism service providers to standardize customer service quality, improve digital skills, increase competitiveness, support units to optimize business activities, thereby improving quality and professionalism.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Tourism Nguyen Xuan Binh, remarked in the context of complicated developments of COVID-19, the tourism industry has not completely recovered and travel habits have changed a lot.

He, therefore, highlighted the significance of creating new experiences and developing unique tourism products through digital transformation solutions and operations optimization at accommodation facilities in a bid to enhance their competitiveness and attract more tourists.

Many accommodation establishments in the city have been interested in smart lighting solutions so as to create highlights for the buildings, and save labour, operating and electricity costs in tandem with meeting the needs of tourists for comfort, aesthetics and emotion, he added.
