Ms. Le Thi Hong Mai, a resident from Thach Thang Ward, said, “Until the opening of the OCOP product display point on Bach Dang Street did I often visited this site for shopping. Compared to other mass sources at the market, choosing OCOP goods here is more assured of quality thanks to clear QR codes of traceability. In addition to buying food for my family, I also highly recommend local OCOP products to my friends whenever they take Da Nang trips”.

According to Ms. Dang Thi Khanh Van, a salesperson at the aforementioned introduction point, during this ongoing tourist season, the number of visitors to buy products is quite large, especially foreigners. Guaranteed by the owner of food hygiene and safety standards, OCOP products are highly appreciated by many consumers and received positive feedback.

Ms. Dinh Thi Que, Head of Economic Department of Hai Chau District, said that the launch of the OCOP product display and introduction point will contribute to creating favourable conditions for production establishments to promote their brand names, and at the same time, helping consumers access good-quality products.

The exhibition point acts as a bridge between manufacturers and consumers, creating a ‘spillover effect’ in the community to promote the consumption of products that are certified for safety, cleanliness and quality. This is also the basis for the locality to continue to form more points to sell and promote OCOP and typical products in the coming time.

There are currently 5 products that are OCOP certified with 3 stars or more in Hai Chau District. The owner of the Hung Hong beef patty establishment located in Hai Chau 2 Ward expressed: “Since my family's products have been certified as OCOP, consumption has increased significantly thanks to customers' trust in their prestige and quality. To contribute to the building of a typical Da Nang product brand, our facility focuses on quality, designs and a variety of choices, rather than on quantity. In addition to the family's traditional sales channels as well as distribution points under supply contracts, in the coming time, the facility will continue to contact major partners to expand the consumption market network".

Over the past time, local agencies have supported establishments to expand product consumption markets, even towards export. In order for local products to have the opportunity to reach far, within the framework of the recent overseas business trip, the Hai Chau District leaders participated in promoting OCOP and typical commercial products at the Uiwang Railway Festival, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea.

Many made-in-Da Nang OCOP products were introduced at the festival such as: Ba Lieu sesame dry cake, Bana Bee honey, Topcoco grilled sesame coconut cake, Tam Nguyen ginger tea, MaYaCa clean coffee, Da Tuu wine, Hiyoufarm essential oil scented candles and Nui Son cordyceps. The Da Nang stall attracted a large number of South Korean  visitors. According to Mr. Le Tu Gia Thanh,

Chairman of Hai Chau District People's Committee, the annual Uiwang Railway Festival is held with the participation of nearly 100,000 people in the country. This trade activity helps South Korean people have the opportunity to contact with others and understand clearly about Da Nang’s OCOP products, typical commercial products. This is also an opportunity for production and business establishments to access the South Korean market as well as many other countries.
