At a press conference on Tuesday it was announced that a charity musical performance entitled ‘Spring for You’ will take place at Da Nang’s Trung Vuong Theatre at 7.30pm on 5 January.  The aim of the concert is to raise money for the over 5,000 Agent Orange (AO) victims across the country, including around 150 in Da Nang.

The event will be broadcast live on the Da Nang Radio and Television channels in order to appeal for donations from generous domestic and foreign individuals and organisations to assist AO victims nationwide.

Speaking at the conference, Mr Truong Cong Dinh, Editor-in-Chief of the DA NANG Newspaper, remarked “My newspaper will be actively involved in publicising the moving stories of real AO victims in order to help the community understand more about their pain and difficulties.  I hope that other media agencies in the city will join efforts with the DA NANG Newspaper, so that together we can help the AO victims overcome their difficulties and have brighter lives.”

Already a total of over 500 million VND has been raised from domestic and foreign donors in advance of the event.
