On Thursday, the 6^th annual Hoa An Communal House Festival took place in Hoa An Ward in Da Nang’s Cam Le District.  The communal house was recognised as a city-level historical and cultural relic in 2008.

The one-day festival featured many solemn traditional ceremonies, exciting folk games, and fascinating Tuong (classic drama) performances.

In addition, there was an inauguration ceremony for the ‘Tam Quan’ (three-arched entrance gate) leading to the communal house, and for other facilities such as a fence, a yard, a partition, a drainage system and pedestrian areas.  The construction of all these works had been instigated by the Cam Le District People’s Committee at a total cost of 800 million VND.

Local villagers who are holders of PhDs or Master's degrees were honoured at the event.
