Co-organised by the Viet Nam Stage Artistes' Association and the Performing Arts Department of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the competition took place in Thanh Hoa Province from 5 - 14 August.  It featured fascinating ‘tuong’ performances by 95 young artistes under 35 from 19 professional troupes from across the country.

A total of 27 gold and 20 silver medals were presented to the most outstanding artistes.

Artiste The Ngoc was born in 1985 in Quang Tri Province’s Vinh Linh District.  He has been working for the Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theatre since 2010.  Ngoc has brought home many medals from national tuong and folk music festivals for professional artistes, and national traditional tuong festivals.  He has twice enjoyed the city’s preferential policies for local young talented artistes.
