About 3,000 ninth and twelfth graders compete in municipal-level contest for the gifted
On February 24, a total of about 3,000 students in the 9th and 12th grades competed in the municipal-level examinations for excellent students in the 2021 - 2022 school year.
Accordingly, there were 2,491 students in the 9th grade sitting for the exam in 11 subjects: Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Literature, History, Geography, English, French and Japanese.
In particular, English, French and Japanese subjects were tested in the form of objective multiple-choice combined with essays. The tests of 120 minutes featured the skills of listening, reading and writing.
For the Informatics, the exam was conducted in the form of computer programming with a duration of 150 minutes.
The remaining subjects were tested in the form of essays, with each running for 150 minutes.
In a similar vein, 2,482 students in Year 12 competed in the exams of Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Literature, History, Geography, Citizenship Education, English, French and Japanese. Literature exam was in the form of essay. Computer programming lasted 150 minutes.
The exams of Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Citizenship Education, English, French and Japanese were conducted in the form of objective multiple-choice (50 questions/test within 90 minutes.
English, French and Japanese subjects had a listening comprehension section.
