Around 300 pupils participate in Informatics Summer Camp 2022
The 6th Central Viet Nam - Central Highlands Informatics Summer Camp officially opened at the Viet Nam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU) in Da Nang on Thursday.
Co-organised by the VKU and the city-based Le Quy Don High Senior High School for the Gifted, the camp lasts from June 23 - 29. It sees the participation of nearly 300 pupils from senior high schools across the country, along with experts from universities and the Viet Nam Informatics Association.
During the one-week camp, the participants are being guided about Informatics skills by leading experts.
Additionally, they have the opportunity to take part in a number of meaningful experiential learning activities, including learning about the history of Viet Nam's sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes at the Hoang Sa Exhibition House, and joining environmental cleanup activities on the Son Tra Peninsula.
Initiated by the Le Quy Don Senior High School for the Gifted, the summer camp was held for the first time in Da Nang in 2016. The programme was then organised in Quang Nam, Dak Lak, Quang Ngai and Lam Dong in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 respectively.
