Celebrations for Vietnamese Teachers' Day

On Monday, Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary Vo Cong Tri along with other city leaders attended a ceremony at the municipal School of Politics to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (20 November).

Every year, the school offers training courses on politics to a total of 1,000 trainees who are officials and employees from the authorities at municipal, district, ward and communal levels.

Most notably, 2 of the school’s total lecturers now hold Doctorate degrees, 30 possess Masters’ degrees, and 3 are currently attending postgraduate courses.

Addressing the celebration, Deputy Secretary Tri underscored the need for the school’s teaching staff to uphold their professional skills, moral qualities and political ideology, as well as to enhance the quality of the training programmes in the years ahead.

Also on the same day, Deputy Secretary Tri visited and presented a gift to People’s Teacher Nguyen Trong Hoang, who was the former Vice Rector of the Quang Nam- Da Nang Junior College of Education. 

He wished People’s Teacher Hoang good health and happiness for the rest of his life, and encouraged him to pass the torch of teaching passion for young teachers, and continue to be a bright example for younger generations to follow.

In a similar vein, Deputy Secretary Tri also visited and extended his best wishes to the family of the late People’s Teacher Le Phu Loc who is the Ex- Director of the former Quang Nam- Da Nang Department of Education and Training.

Mr Tri encouraged the family members of late People’s Teacher Loc to make greater dedication to the city’s education sector, and its socio-economic progress as a whole.

Also on Monday, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh also attended celebrations for the special occasion at the city’s Vocational Training Junior College.
